1. To receive apologies for unavoidable absence.

2. To agree Terms of Reference.
The draft terms of reference were considered. It was discussed whether to reduce
the term of the management plan from 5 years to 4 years to mirror the term of office
for councillors. However, a 5-year plan gives staff continuity for management when
and if the council membership changes, and it is a requirement of the Green Flag
Award should the council decide to apply.
PEC/2024/1: to accept the draft Terms of Reference for the committee and submit
to full council for approval.
3. To discuss the 5-year Landscape Plan, ideas and budget.
Ideas and projects that had been mentioned in other council meetings were put
forward for discussion as a first step towards the production of a 5-year
management plan for the council’s green spaces. These were discussed in detail
with costs and further information to be obtained on various items (Appendix 1).
Decisions on these, along with a consideration of budget requirements and
timeframe will be made at the next meeting.
